Buttons
  1. These are interesting pewter buttons all found in a Confederate winter campsite in Tullahoma, TN.  They look to be pewter uniform pants buttons, and the top one appears to have been flattened.  I wonder if the were starting to make poker chips?  $25.

  2. This is a beautiful Confederate staff officers coat button excavated in Tullahoma, Tennessee.  Check out the nice brown patina.  The wire shank is still present on this tight button.  Great eye catcher.  $295.

  3. This is a beautiful green Confederate Staff Officers coat button.  This beauty was excavated by the Shaner brothers in General Van Dorn's campsite near Holy Springs, Mississippi.  Only the shank is gone, but a very desirable button.  $265.

  4. Here is a very crude floral type button.  It is a very large overcoat size and is a 1 piece cast button.  As you can see the shank is snapped on this button.  Very cool and unusual large button from Murfreesboro, TN.  $20.

  5. Very pretty U.S.M.A. West Point button (United States Military Academy).  This button is full of gold but does have a dent in the face.  The back mark is an early Scoville & Co. Waterbury which dates to the 1840 - 1850 period.  The shank still stands strong.  A perfect button of this sort would cost around $150.  If you can live with a service dent, $49.

  6. Extremely rare Mississippi local coat size button.  Great strong button with a small dent at the 2 O'clock.  Shank is missing.  Why pay $1,600. +  This fine button can be yours for the low price of $645.
